Kaila Cook
Program & Evaluation Officer
Kaila Cook brings over six years of experience in research, program management, and evaluation. Her work has spanned healthcare, education, sustainable energy, and economic development initiatives across North America, Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa, and South Asia.
Kaila built her career in grassroots organizing, human rights monitoring, and policy advocacy before moving into international development. She spent four years in Washington, D.C. managing projects funded by the U.S. Department of State, USAID, and the Gates Foundation. Her evaluation approach centers local perspectives, relationship-building, and practical learning.
She holds an M.A. in International Relations from the University of Chicago and a B.A. in Political Science and Sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
Outside of work, Kaila enjoys spending time outdoors and is a certified Leader in Wilderness Education through the National Outdoor Leadership School
