Christian Belcher
Program & Evaluation Officer
Christian brings over six years of experience in research, evaluation, and advocacy for non-profit and governmental clients to his role as a Program & Evaluation Officer at Sankofa. Christian graduated from Georgetown University in 2017, where he received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Economy. In 2021, he received his Master of Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Washington’s Evans School of Public Policy & Governance, where he concentrated in Policy Analysis & Evaluation. He recently completed his coursework as a doctoral student in Research Methods & Statistics at the University of Denver.
For the last four years, Christian has leveraged his research, evaluation, and communication expertise to support state and local government agencies in Colorado working to address issues in education, early childhood, child welfare, workforce development, and housing instability.
He has extensive professional experience utilizing a variety of research methodologies, including quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods designs. Christian has conducted randomized controlled trials, quasi-experimental evaluations, latent class analyses, geospatial analyses, focus groups, and interviews. He has tailored his research products to the needs of each client, producing interactive dashboards, formal legislative reports, academic manuscripts, policy briefs, maps, and memos. Christian is excited to continue this work in his role at Sankofa, empowering clients to center data in their decision-making processes.
